I get 'Some information invalid' when I enter my serial number

This error occurs when you enter your serial number in order to activate the software. You will see an error overlay like this:

What this means is that the serial number has been entered incorrectly. Check to see you have copied the number across correctly, and that there are no extraneous characters at the beginning or end of the serial number.
